About Me

Hi! My name is Katharine Axon and I am a writer and editor. I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BA in English and a minor in sociology, as well as a certificate in Professional Writing and Technical Communication (PWTC).

Through the PWTC program, I learned the principles of technical writing, grant writing, web design, and digital accessibility. I also learned how to use software like MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word, HTML, and CSS. Visit my portfolio page to see some of the projects I worked on!

In addition to technical writing, I studied creative writing and literature at UMass. As a final thesis, I wrote about gender and language in medieval literature. I also worked at the UMass Writing Center and the UMass Press.

Outside of work, I love to read, make art, and go rock climbing.
